The sad tale of grey pumpkins, zebra clogs, and sprained ankles

Upon an impromptu stop at the pumpkin stand for swan gourds and grey pumpkins, on my way to a lunch date with George at Tartine, whilst wearing my fancy zebra striped high heeled clogs, I twisted my ankle and fell and barely managed to keep both from crying or throwing up until George arrived on the scene to take me home. I never made it to Tartine, and I may never wear those shoes again, but I got my gourds and pumpkins! (And a little something extra, a great big swollen ankle in a lovely shade of bruise!)

What pretty pumpkins and gourds! So lovely.

I'm so sorry about your ankle. I hope that it is feeling better. In my own experience, I think that soft tissue injuries take a really long time to heal. It also doesn't help that you're a busy mom and sitting all day just isn't an option.

I think that I must see a picture of those shoes. :)

Hoping that you got a do-over for your date.....

Duh! I just saw that you linked the shoes. They are awesome....maybe you can wear them again when your ankle has healed? :)
